Kara

For a long time I have been tossing around the idea of offering senior portraits. I never really knew if I wanted to get into what seemed to be a crazy, chaotic market.  I have done a few senior sessions but no too many, only on request. I was presented with the opportunity to shoot Kara’s senior and decided it was time put up or shut up. I procrastinate quite a bit and knew if I didn’t simply start lining up senior sessions I would never do it.

Evi at 9 months

This weekend I shot Evi’s 9 month portraits. What was supposed to be a dry afternoon in the 80’s tunred into a wet morning and a bit cooler. That threw a bit of a curveball in our plans especially with the wind gusting like crazy. Evi didn’t mind sitting inside since she smiled and giggled throughout the whole shoot. I only have one more shoot with Evi and that will be when she turns one year old. Time flies!

James at 6

We shot James’s 6 month portraits yesterday as part of his first year portrait sessions. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer day, and we actually got to take a few shots outside with mom and dad. His 9 month portraits should be unbelievable when he is able to sit and maybe stand, with a little help, for a few shots.

Kristin at the State Theater

The other day I was involved in an awesome photoshoot at the State Theater. Christin Nelson of Rawsii organized the shoot that included a ton of photographers and models. A bit thanks and kudos goes out to Christi for all her hard work on this group shoot. My next kudos goes to Josef Samuel for organizing the XStop Project. My day was split in two. In the morning I worked with Kristin on a few bridal portraits. She was more than a trooper braving the unbelievably cold theater in a strapless wedding gown. The portraits turned out awesome and thanks Kristin for being a fantastic model!

Nick and Jamie

My cousin Nick was married last weekend on a rare sunny day. Even with a definite chill in the air we were able to capture some great portaits. The ceremony had an interesting ambience to it and was lit almost entirely with candles. I have never covered a wedding, or been to a wedding, that was a candle lit ceremony. I was even nice enough to let Nick and Jamie drive away from the ceremony in my vintage corvette!
